I'm not even sure I can call this anatomy, but hey, we'll go with it.
Sketched out this study of human anatomy some months ago, just worked the photograph a bit so it's more visible (meh, too lazy to scan). It is very interesting to draw the human body, there are so many things to consider, yet I drew it in a somewhat natural way, not with much thinking. There is volume, shades, lines, shapes, proportions, muscle, bones, organs, etc... It is truly a beautiful thing to represent through any form of art.
I think that for some sort of a first try at it, I did pretty OK. Since no other imagery and resources were used, I often looked at the mirror and tried to go with my own body to figure what goes where and with what size.
Though this fella is contemplating his hand, I like to draw people in much more dynamic poses, I guess that's why ninjas are so much fun to draw!
With the upcoming work for Archangel (the game I'm working on), this sort of study and approximation with the human body will be important in order to draw each limb accordingly, otherwise we might end up with some freaky hunchback Jack or something...
And nah, I'm not this beefy, ahah!
