Small in length, big in events. This year's February is turning out to be quite an important month.

Finishing my current course and driver's license. Soon I'll start looking for a small job until college candidatures begin! I was longing for some progress.

Now, a big deal in gaming. Homeworld Remastered.

When BBI (Black Bird Interactive) was announced containing most of the Relic team members and were working on a spiritual successor to one of my favorite titles ever, I was heart-warmed and relieved by hearing that they threw away the F2P model of the future project; Hardware: Shipbreakers it was. With the consequences of THQ's downfall, Gearbox had some good taste and bought the franchise at an auction. Noticing BBI's efforts and veteran team, Shipbreakers was brought unto the Homeworld universe under Gearbox's light, although put on hold for the revival of the two original titles.

I've been keeping myself from replaying the classics ever since the remasters were announced and after finishing the first one last night, I can say the wait was worth it. Unto the next one! :D

Still have to try out the Multiplayer though.

We wait for Shipbreakers now, with two beautifully facelift Homeworld games in hand - expecting nothing but the very best. Not licking anyone's boots here, but Gearbox deserves some damn kudos for taking the interest in Relic's masterpiece.

Also, and still relevant, this shows up: www.fistsofheaven.com/
Looks very interesting and the Homeworld love is obvious, which is a big plus ahah! Fists Of Heaven, apparently baptized after a fan-fic of the founder's authorship. Excellent start-off if you ask me, a collector's edition is definitely something I'd like to put my hands on: www.fistsofheaven.com/launch-g…

They're also recruiting contributors, which is an idea I'm digging. I've been pilling up some ship artwork to submit on DA and although enjoying fantasy, space/sci-fi stuff has always been my cup of tea.

Perhaps I could apply?

It has been an interesting month so far guys, see you next time!

Cheers,

The Terminator by BLITZFenix
The Terminator
Instantly thought of :iconluvataciousskull: awesome "Death From Above" piece.

I spotted this wall art several times near my place, so I thought it deserved a decent photo.

Being sort of a military geek I see the practicality and application of a drone, but it's still kinda scary to know that whoever possesses these assets can literally pop a missile anywhere they want without anyone knowing it.

A silent hovering spy and assassin, capable of peeking at your bathroom while you take a crap with its electric eye and make the porcelain go boom with the press of a joystick button. Grab the tin foil everyone!

Solstice by BLITZFenix
Solstice
This weekend was quite a feel-trip...

Anyways, for some reason, along with Solstice's release of their pre-production demo of White Horse Hill (a song from their upcoming album, which is really awesome btw) and being the actual day of solstice, I felt like doodling this up today.

Imagine Father Fall and Mother Winter, having one last moment until next year's solstice.

Credit to :iconjanlykke: and the lovely model Micha for providing a pose for Mother Winter.

HELLIUS - Cor Metallum Regna by BLITZFenix
HELLIUS - Cor Metallum Regna
Zoom in for full resolution glory!

Welcome to an ancient brutal world where science fiction meets sword & sorcery. A world where Metal is the law.

Welcome to Hellius, the Core of the Metal Realms.

Although I've left some room for future additions of content to the map (perhaps from other contributions than just my own) , the foundations for the world map of Hellius are pretty much done.

Made this to have a better visual idea of where my stories with the Metal Warriors would take place. I'll be adding more fluff over the Brikwars wiki with some of the planet's history and geographical data.

Took me about four days and although it wasn't particularly hard it gives alot of work. More so when you're coming up with some stuff as you go but the whole process is really fun!

A big thanks to :iconjocarra: for her excellent map creation tutorial and :iconprincess-of-shadows: for some paper textures, cheers, ladies! :D

Im a pretty average guy. I like my place in the world but I'm trying to make a difference, if that makes sense...

I enjoy and respect most forms of art and expression. I have a special kind of love for Heavy music (Metal), Gaming, Crafts, friends and overall just making stuff up...

Many thanks and good tidings to you for your most splendiferous favouritism! May the father of Christmas bestow golden gifts upon thee in the form of your very own army resurrected t-rexs! Also may one possess a saddle and cup holder so that you can ride through town upon it and smote thine enemies!!
